Virtual partitions have several uses, due to their thermal transmission limiting properties.
They can be used when calculating thermal loads in a relatively large zone because of the certainty that there is a region with more loads than the rest. This can be the case for office buildings with glass façades (curtain walls).
They are also useful for defining different floors in the same space.
