To select hollow sections in StruBIM CYPE 3D, from the “Bar” menu, use the “Describe” option on a bar or group of bars.
Find the “Square cold-formed box“, “Rectangular cold-formed box“, “Circular hollow section” or “Rectangular hollow section” families in the area for built-up sections with rolled steel plates or cold-formed steel sections.
Then define a section series and select a particular section from the drop-down menu. For several of the indicated families, the “Import of predefined section series” option can be used for different catalogues and manufacturers.
