In CYPELEC PV Systems, users may see the following error after analysing the installation:
The number of panels that are connected in series in each branch of the MPPT follower must be the same.
To correct the error, the same number of PV panels must be entered in each of the branches that make up the system.
When several branches of photovoltaic panels are connected in parallel, they should have the same voltage in order to generate the maximum current. Therefore, it is not advisable to connect a different number of panels per branch, as the voltage value in each of them varies. Furthermore, in this configuration there are connections with extremely high current values, due to the fact that there is a power difference and the resistance in these connections is almost nil, being only that of the cable.
