Correspondence between the wind loadcases generated in CYPECAD and CYPE 3D

In CYPECAD projects that include integrated 3D structures from CYPE 3D, it may be necessary for the user to define a specific combination of loadcases to prevent meaningless action combinations from being analysed.

In such cases, it is advisable to specify the correspondence between the wind loadcases generated in both programs and their naming conventions:

Loadcase generated in CYPECADLoadcase generated in CYPE 3D
V (+X)V (90º)
V (-X)V (270º)
V (+Y)V (0º)
V (-Y)V (180º)

Therefore, the combination of these wind loadcases, if they are to be maintained in the same project, should take a form similar to the following:

V (0º)V (90º)V (180º)V (270º)
V (+X) (positive eccentricity)Not combinableCombinableNot combinableNot combinable
V (+X) (negative eccentricity)Not combinableCombinableNot combinableNot combinable
V (-X) (positive eccentricity)Not combinableNot combinableNot combinableCombinable
V (-X) (negative eccentricity)Not combinableNot combinableNot combinableCombinable
V (+Y) (positive eccentricity)CombinableNot combinableNot combinableNot combinable
V (+Y) (negative eccentricity)CombinableNot combinableNot combinableNot combinable
V (-Y) (positive eccentricity)Not combinableNot combinableCombinableNot combinable
V (-Y) (negative eccentricity)Not combinableNot combinableCombinableNot combinable

This procedure is related to the warning "This job has additional wind loadcases defined. Please check the compatibility between automatic loadcases and the additional user loadcases", which appears when ticking "With wind loading" in a CYPECAD project that includes an integrated 3D structure from CYPE 3D.
