I cannot install the CYPE programs. When I try to install them, the operating system issues a message such as "The application could not be started…". What can I do?

If, when installing CYPE programs, the operating system displays the error message "The application could not be started…", the following steps must be followed.

• Go to the following Microsoft website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26347.

• On the Microsoft website, select the language and click on the "Download" button.
• Download one of the following files:
  • vcredist_x64.EXE
    If you have downloaded the 64-bit version of the CYPE programs
  • vcredist_x86.EXE
    If you have downloaded the 32-bit version of the CYPE programs
• Run the downloaded file.
• Restart the computer.
• Install the CYPE programs.
