The following procedure can be used to install and use two versions of CYPE software from the same year on the same hard drive (e.g. CYPE 2025.a and CYPE 2025.c, both professional; or CYPE 2025.c professional and CYPE 2025.c temporary), thus avoiding the need to create virtual drives as described in this link.
Installation
First of all, the first version of CYPE that you want to keep installed on your computer is installed. As a result, the following folders will be generated, with "20XX" being the corresponding year of the version (e.g. "2023"):
C:\CYPE Ingenieros\Version 20XX
C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\CYPE Ingenieros\v20XX
The above folders are then renamed, e.g. by adding the following string of characters:
C:\CYPE Ingenieros\Version 20XX.v1
C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\CYPE Ingenieros\v20XX.v1
Then, the second version of CYPE that you want to keep installed on your computer is installed. The following folders will be generated again:
C:\CYPE Ingenieros\Version 20XX
C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\CYPE Ingenieros\v20XX
Therefore, the following four folders will be present on the computer:
C:\CYPE Ingenieros\Version 20XX.v1
C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\CYPE Ingenieros\v20XX.v1
C:\CYPE Ingenieros\Version 20XX
C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\CYPE Ingenieros\v20XX
Use
To use the second version, the shortcuts generated after the last installation are used.
To use the first version, the four folders must be renamed again to obtain the folder configuration of the second column:

*The table above should be interpreted as follows: the folder C:\CYPE Ingenieros\Version 20XX (and not any other) should be renamed to C:\CYPE Ingenieros\Version 20XX.v2, and so on, row by row.
The shortcuts of the CYPE programs can now be used to open the first installed version.
If you want to reuse the second installed version, you must rename the folders again to retrieve the configuration of the first column.
This procedure can be followed with successive renames to install more than two versions of the same year, adding identifying character strings (.v3, .v4, etc.) and keeping the folder of the version you want to use without adding the additional character string.
Versions from different years
The procedure described above is not necessary if the versions of the CYPE programs to be installed are from different years, as different folders and shortcuts are generated in the installation process.
