What level of detail can be achieved with models created using CYPE software?

The concept of level of detail (LOD) is used in some contexts to describe the degree of complexity of the representation in models created with a specific computer programme.

In general, the level of detail in models created in each of the CYPE programmes is unique and depends on the tools used in each programme in the data entry process.

Thus, even for the same project or model, some tools allow objects or entities with a high level of detail to be entered due to the large amount of information they contain (for example, materials or equipment from the CYPE Cost Database or Open BIM Database, which include geometric information, technical characteristics, and price and management data), while other tools allow elements with a more simplified definition to be inserted.

Furthermore, in some cases, each programme offers specific options that allow you to obtain summary results or perform faster analyses using partial simplifications, without this being related to a specific level of detail category.

You can consult the resources for each programme to find out what information to enter and the configuration parameters required when using each of the programme's tools, as well as to find out about the tools available for configuring the analysis or obtaining results.
