CYPECAD. Designing a multi-family dwellings building

Certificate of achievement and course attendance. A minimum attendance of 75% is required.

General objectives

Learning the processes of data entry, analysis of results and processing of information to obtain the project's graphical information and written information.
Acquiring the necessary skills for using the programs.

Architecture, engineering and construction professionals.
Students in their final years of technical studies who are interested in learning about this tool that is so widespread in firms and technical offices.
Companies, organisations and groups wishing to attend these courses from their offices.

Lesson plan

Characteristics of materials and loads.
Floor data.
Drawing templates.
Entering columns.
Data for foundations.

Plan data, entering walls and beams.
Entering one-way floor slabs.
Special loads: envelopes, partitions, lifts.
Staircases.
Sloped floor slabs.

Checking undersized elements.
Checking stress envelopes in the different elements of the structure.
Checking the deformations of the structure, one element at a time and the global behaviour of the structure when faced with different actions.
Solving errors.

Analysing the foundation for isolated footing.
Optimising the reinforcement drawings: column schedule, beam schedule, floor slab schedule and footing schedule.
Exporting to Arquimedes: project bill of quantities.

Requirements

- Basic computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of architecture, engineering or construction.
- Laptop with mouse, wifi connection and USB port.
- Installing CYPECAD.

To optimise your training time, please bring your personal laptop with the programs already installed. To do so:

Register on the free BIMserver.center platform and download and install the latest version of the following program:
- CYPECAD (if you plan to use a "Temporary license version", choose this option in the installation process and enter the key provided).
