Feature not available with your license

CYPE program users may encounter the following error:

Feature not available with your license.

This error is related to reading the permissions recorded in the license or in the version being used.

Professional license

Make sure that you are using the version and feature of the program that you have purchased in the license, and that you have activated the desired permissions in the license. Contact CYPE's technical support service if necessary.

Campus license

If you are using the Campus license, you may have all the necessary permissions to use the CYPE programs in the version you are using. In this case, the version may not have been installed correctly. To ensure the correct installation of the Campus license and correct the error, follow these steps:

1. Completely close the CYPE programs

2. Delete the "cypenet" folder

This folder is located in the following path:

C:\Users\Windows_user\AppData\Roaming\CYPE Ingenieros\v20XX

The AppData folder is hidden folder in Windows, so if you cannot find it, show the hidden files using the options of your operating system.

The "cypenet" folder must be deleted from the paths corresponding to the different versions found. For example, if the following folders are found in the device, the "cypenet" folder must be deleted from each of these three directories, as they correspond to previous installations of the Campus licenses 2025, 2024 and 2023 versions:

C:\Users\usuario_de_Windows\AppData\Roaming\CYPE Ingenieros\v2025
C:\Users\usuario_de_Windows\AppData\Roaming\CYPE Ingenieros\v2024
C:\Users\usuario_de_Windows\AppData\Roaming\CYPE Ingenieros\v2023

3. Restart the program and re-enter the password

To be able to use the Campus license, a recent version of the CYPE programs, close to the current version, must be installed. Therefore:

  • If you have already installed a recent Campus license of the program, start the program. When doing so, it will ask for the Campus license password again. To enter it, you must click on "Use Electronic License", making sure not to leave any blank spaces when copying the key.
  • If you have not installed a recent Campus license of the program, you must consult and download the latest version available. Once the installation is complete, enter the email and password provided in "Use Electronic License" in the CYPE Menu or in the "File" menu in the stand-alone program.
Note: From version 2026.a onwards, you can enter the credentials for any type of access to the program in this step.

If you are still unable to access the programs, we recommend that you contact CYPE Technical Support and provide more details about the problem.

Further recommendations

Anti-virus programs and firewalls prevent communication between CYPE programs and the server. This could be the cause of the related errors. The solution to these problems can be found in the following links:

To use the same Campus license on multiple computers, you must allow at least 6 hours between using it on one computer and another:
